So Borrell said in a proposal for journalists before the start of the assembly of ministers of member states at the European Council.

He said the parties should return to talks and find ways to end the street clashes and establish barricades.

I know that the two sides are ready for de-pass and I strongly call on both to do it. In this case I was in connection with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Miroslav Lajcak has been in contact with President Aleksandar Vucic in Serbia”, Borrell said.

He has clarified to European media how Kosovo's “Serbs have responded to the arrest of a very troubled former police officer in the streets, roadblocks and even shocking bombings against some of our police officers, and as you know this is not acceptable”.

The European top diplomat has reiterated the EU's stance to remove barricades imposed by gangs in the north.

The northern part of Kosovo continues to remain blocked, two days after the establishment of barricades by Serbs in protest of the arrest of former police officer Dejan Pantic.

There were incidents Saturday evening, where Serbs exchanged fire with police, as well as jeopardised the safety of journalists who were closely reporting the barricade located in Rudare after throwing shock-bas beside them.

Meanwhile, Sunday was calmer, but it coincided with reactions from internationals.

The US Embassy in Pristina and Belgrade, in a joint statement, called for the barricades set up in those areas to be removed.

After the United States of America, there has been a reaction to Great Britain, which also said it expects illegal barricades placed on roads leading to two border crossings in Brnjak and Jarinje to be removed.

Despite demands by the US and Great Britain, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has failed to remove barricades in northern Kosovo.

He after the Security Council meeting, has said that Serbs do not place barricades for their “takes”.

“They do not limit the movement of any Albanian -- none of the Albanians are moving like this -- this is their expression of protest against the arrest of people, the beating of people, the mistreatment of people, and the failure to fulfill the Brussels Agreement” -- Vuciq has said while propaganda.

And as for the Brussels accords, Vuciq has asked the US which agreement Kosovo has respected.

He also mentioned Washington's agreement signed on September 4, 2020.

“Cila respects Pristina, which agreement you respect, whether it is the United Nations Charter, is the Final Act, Resolution 1244, is Washington's agreement, say one of these acts that Pristina respects, Vuciq has declared.
