The KPC reports that at other border points there are no longer waiting, either at the entrance of Kosovo or at the exit.
Otherwise, Thursday afternoons have removed barricades imposed by Serbs in the north, which blocked roads for almost three weeks in a row.
Barricades have fled to the village of Rudare, which is located in the municipality of Zvecan, the municipality of Leposaviqi and Zubin Potok.
How did the decision to remove the barricades come about?
Twenty days of calling for their departure “ran into deaf ears”. The Kosovo government was waiting for KFOR to remove the barricades, and on the other hand, internationals insisted that the barricades should be removed from those who established them.
Just changing Dejan Pantic's indictment from custody to house arrest sparked the Serb surrendering gap in Kosovo in relation to barricades.
Upon becoming aware of the decision, on the evening of December 28th, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq gathered the Serbian Army barracks in Raska, near the border with Kosovo, with members of the Serb community discussing the possibility of removing the barricades.
Called to “service to his people”, Vuciq entered the meeting with the idea that he would accept any response Serbs give, pro or against removing the barricades.
However, the same came out of the meeting, claiming that the barricades would be removed, the morning of next day, Thursday.
Similarly, Vucic stressed that guarantees have been provided that Serbs' requests for removing barricades would be met, of which the request for no prosecution of people who established barricades.
While triumph for Serbia has considered Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq the release of Pantic into domestic arrest, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has remained surprised with this decision.
Kurti has said he is curious to know which judge left his home arrest Pantiqi accused of terrorism.
“I don't know the procedural case of the defendant and is held in Jarinje because he couldn't be sent to official prison, in the position of detention, he has the status of detainee. He's a suspect in terrorism. What I've heard because it was in the hunger strike and there was heart problems, it could be sent to the hospital, which is understandable, is it reasonable to establish a court case, but when you have an indictment for terrorism to be sent to house arrest, I'm curious to know who that prosecutor is, who is the judge who approves”, Kurti said at a media address yesterday.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Albula Haxhiu has said the decision to replace the move against Dejan Pantic is the most serious act that could be done to the country by what she has said institutions that should be the best example of protecting citizens and constitutional order.
