The attack comes a month after the explosion in downtown Istanbul that caused the deaths of eight people. Turkey blamed Kurdish separatist rebels for the attack, but neither took responsibility.
Otherwise, both the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the People's Protection Units (YPG) denied any involvement.
In particular, according to CNN TuzK, today at 05:10 a car attack was carried out with an explosive-wept vehicle, while a police vehicle was passing through the Diyarbakir-Madin highway. A car with a bomb mechanism parked earlier on the road exploded as the police bus passed by the cattle market area in Sur Charıkılı. Nine people were injured, including eight police officers who boarded the police vehicle, who collapsed during the attack. After the attack, security forces and medical teams were sent to the area.
While police have secured the safety of the environment, the wounded have been taken by ambulance to hospitals. A broad investigation was launched for the attack.
As the agency “Anadolu” reports, under the investigation conducted by the appointed prosecutor has also detained 5 suspects.
