Will the barricades be removed in the north tonight?

The decision to arrest former police officer Dejan Pantic, who faces terrorism charges, has changed the situation in northern Kosovo. Former Serbian police official Dejan Pantic was arrested on December 10th at the Jarinje border crossing in northern Kosovo. But the Pantych did not suffer imprisonment in prison, he did all the time [...]
Internationals welcomed Kosovo's decision on Dejan Pantiqi, already demanding that barricades in the north be removed immediately.
US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill has said it is time to remove barricades on the northern streets of Kosovo. According to him, they must flee from the people who established them.
In an interview with the Serbian medium “Noova”, Hill has said that “understands the frustration of Kosovo Serbs”, but the barricade must be removed.
“We understand the frustrations of the Serb community in Kosovo. We realize that such discontent has not been collected in the last days, but it has been there for some time. After all, the Serb community has been in Kosovo for centuries and has the right to know what the future holds for them”, the US ambassador has said.
And that's exactly what we're talking about, when we're talking about political dialogue, to make sure that the Serb community lives in their homes in Kosovo and feels good at his”.
While in Pristina they ask the NATO mission to remove the barricades, the US diplomat says the barricades should be removed from the people who have established them.
“As for barricades, they are clearly a problem. If viewed from the Serbian community's point of view, they are a protest for the Shuyma. I just want to say that we've understood why they put them and we've heard them, but I think it's time they set these barricades, to remove them”, Hill said, adding that he hopes this will happen as soon as possible.
The head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, said during the day he has talked to Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, about the recent events that took place today.
Goran Rakiq has told Pink Tv that from Vucic they have heard good news of the release of Serbs” and his opinion that “would be good to remove barricades”.
On the other hand, the chief of the so-called Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovovic, said they have received the strongest “sometimes” guarantees from the United States and the European Union for the withdrawal of Serbs from barricades set up in northern Kosovo.
“I am taking advantage of the opportunity to deliver the good news that we have received the strongest guarantees ever from the US and the EU when it comes to Serb demands, their conditions to withdraw from barricades”, Petkov said.
Petkovic described as good news the change in the security measure of Dejan Pantic from custody to house arrest.
The “is a big victory, above all for the Serb people in Kosovo”, he said.
Currently, Serbs stationed at the barricade in Rudare are awaiting the arrival of Serbian List leader Goran Rakiq, as well as others to return from the meeting with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
At this meeting, it was reported that Kosovo Serbs have been asked to remove the barricades after former Serbian police officer Dejan Pantic's house arrest and release Nikola Nedeljkovic, the young man arrested in Gazimestan.
Vuciq has said he has demanded that Serbs withdraw from the barricades and have added that they have received guarantees from the US and the EU that Serb demands will be accepted.
It has already been 19 days since Serbs in northern Kosovo with barricades have blocked freedom of movement there. /Periscopi/
