Gerti Shehu, 31, attacked DP leader Sali Berisha's late Tuesday, while the latter was marching towards “Nation witnesses” to take part in the protest.
The 31-year-old punched Berisha in the face, bleeding. It was immediately stopped by Berisha's bodyguards, and already violated by DP supporters and sympathies.
The 31-year-old was accompanied by police and is currently receiving treatment at Trauma Hospital, as there are facial injuries and nose fractures.
Officers have twice tried to question the young man, but because of his state of health, he has given no evidence so far.
The 31-year-old is suspected of suffering from mental health problems. Berisha has accused Rama of the event.
