At the solemn meeting of the Municipal Assembly, former presidents did not fail to mention the fragile situation in the country's north, stressing that Kosovo and united Albania will overcome any challenge.
Drenas Mayor Ramiz Ladrovci has praised these three very important personalities for the Albanian nation.
These three rare personalities are of different fields, but with the same road and vision, the progress of Albania and the Albanian nation wherever they live. This day that you are accepting the title of honorary citizen is marked for us and not by chance with the wish of honorary citizens, we also wish the day of the Kosovo Army”.
For honorary citizens of Drenas, as president, Professor, you promoted the values of Albanians wherever you were. You have introduced the Republic of Albania and at the same time the Republic of Kosovo, where Kosovo had no access, you have been to Kosovo when the road to liberation was lit so hard that our physical being was endangered, so you are the most deserving of this title as an honorary citizen. Along with the allies won the war, but without Albania it would not be achieved and Kosovo will not forget this”, Ladrovci said.
Former President Rexhep Meidani has expressed enthusiasm for this title, until he said he dreams of one day the two countries being joined by a anthem.
I dream of being together, and these thoughts came to mind when the flag hymns were executed and we still have two hymns. When the day comes that we have one, and I believe it will be a day when we will be together, and for this very life we will fight together and be all the time on the clock with each other to help Kosovo and Albania. Even if politics doesn't understand, we influence politics and achieve this big dream again, the dream of the same flag and the same hymn”, Median says.
Former President Alfred Moisiu has also expressed gratitude for the title received.
Moisiu said it is good that in the situation Kosovo is going through, all see that Kosovo and Albania are together and will face any difficulties.
At a time when political situation on the border with Serbia, when various geostrategic problems circulate, it's good to see that we're together, we're a nation and we're going to face it. They knew our fathers in very difficult situations to find an opportunity to unite and face situations ... And we should never forget the sacrifices and bravery that Albanians have shown during the key problems”, Moisiu said.
That united Albanians will face any challenge, former President Besim Topi also said.
I am very grateful and grateful that you made me part of your municipality, a municipality which, despite the fact that Kosovo is a martyr in every cell, this is a top centre that has memory of the history of a heroic war and many heroes... The atmosphere today is mixed with some of the situations going on in northern Kosovo, of course we are in a situation of peace and I wish that the peace situation would come... Remember the part of the rifle because without it there would have been no release but with much intelligence to capture peace and come the day that Kosovo and Albania will be together in a hymn”, Topi said.
