AGK describes 2022 as challenging for journalists' safety

The association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) has expressed gratitude for all journalists' unspoiled work during 2022.
Thanks to your reportings from each corner of the Republic of Kosovo, citizens have been informed in real time of all developments from strikes, protests and barricades, to events that brought collective joy”, the AGK communiqué says.

AGK estimates that the year 2022 has been particularly challenging for the safety of journalists, cameramen and photo reporters, with more than 30 cases recorded in various forms of attacks.

Thankful and grateful to all colleagues who did not stop reporting even when they tried to be prevented by specific individuals and interest groups”, the communiqué said.

This year, the AGK has also been added to 13 Ukrainian colleagues who found shelter and continued job opportunities in Kosovo.
