77% of Kosovo women for home affairs: Two interesting reports yesterday and today that you may not have noticed

Two women's research in Kosovo has been published yesterday and today, one of the FES (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung), and the other from the Institute of Ususe Cocalari. The first, notes that 77% of women in Kosovo think they contribute mostly to domestic affairs. Second (FES), says only 7 % of women [...]

According to a Musine Cocalari Institute research in Kosovo, 77 percent of women think they contribute mostly to household chores, while 81% of the scholarship agree.

“24.3% of all respondents claim that their mother contributes most to the home, while only 4% are declared to be the father who most contributes to”, according to this study.

FES ' SONDAZH: 7% of women have interest in politics, 74 percent consider it important to have children

Only 4 per cent of Kosovo women have their own propertyAnother six percent live on joint property with their mate. So says the National Survey Report “Grata in Kosovo- what they think, want and make Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES)'s”. Among other things, it was said that women's interest in politics remains low, where only seven percent want to engage in this sphere.

The programme co-ordinator at FES, Besa Luzha, said women involved in the survey are in large numbers from Pristina and Prizren. According to her, this report reveals that only three percent of women interviewed are locked in politics.

“has been just a little bit of a doctorate and 18 percent of college, most are primary and high school-school finish, and there is a small percentage where 5 percent are not finished. From the face of their family status, over 66 percent have children, 61 percent are married, 26 percent are single, 9 percent are widows, and only 4 percent are in relationship, but without coexistence, and 1 percent are divorced”, she said.

Moreover, 93 percent of women interviewed are content with their lives.

74 percent of women interviewed or questioned through this research claim that the most important thing in life is to have children. At the very least, 7 percent is committed or political participation in political life, for us this has turned out to be a concern...85 percent believe in family members, and the second or third turns out to be their belief in religious leaders and least trust political parties only 1 percent. There's an awareness of the aspect of gender equality, but when you see the figures again it bothers you why this is not even more pronounced as the interest of women. 42 percent of them feel that they should not talk about different aspects of women and men when it comes to employment or education. Only 52 percent think or disagree that women should work only when necessary:8x0>Luzha added it.

In presenting the data collected under this survey, Luza has stressed that the small percentage remains owned.

Only 6 percent of women share property with their partnerYour spouse or someone who lives. 43 percent live on property, which belongs to their mate. And another 43 percent live on their mate's parents. Their property has very little, only 4 percent”, She said.

The director at the Centre for Gender Equality, Luljet Demolli, said gender equality is mired in Kosovo families.

“Gender equality is viewed as a little of the public sphere, little because much has been spoken up and is part of the discours, as the value of the state of Kosovo. It is said to be high, Kosovo citizens say it is high, but when they enter private, private life in the family they don't then see it as a concept that should be included in all domestic ports. They view it as something belonging to the state, the institution”, it said.

Company director “Idra Research”, Nora Jusufi said the report was working with about a thousand women in the country.

We have divided four focus-groups, two who have been with employed women, unemployed with different profiles and different countries in Kosovo to share their experiences. As well as two have been with local and central-level institutions, depending on the position of persons or departments in the institution, of course it has to do with gender issues. And another with nongovernmental organizations that deal directly or indirectly with women's rights. It's worth a million surveys, we've had as target 80 percent Albanians, since most are Albanians in Kosovo, but we've raised few samples for other communities, which are smaller, so that we can do statistically important tests through ethnicity”, She said.

The survey also includes 10 percent of Serbian women, 6 percent Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptians, and 1 percent other communities.

The women interviewed belong to seven Kosovo regions, where they came from February 19th to April 4th this year./Group: Dafina Demaku/foto illustration of the news: march MARShame, celebrate/
