At least five people were killed and another 20 were injured by Russian hostages in the centre of the city of Herson.
So said the Ukrainian presidential administration on December 24th.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential Office posted on his network on the seemingly lifeless photograph of people in the city's centre Saturday.
The city had recently been freed from Russian invasion.
The “Russians have again carried out terror and promoted the city centre”, he said. “People are dead, buildings are destroyed”
Many people were on the street after it was the weekend, he said.
Ukraine has recovered Harrison from Russian forces last month.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack as another crime from Russia shortly before Christmas.
He has warned of possible Russian attacks during the holiday season and has called on Ukrainians to be vigilant the following days.
Russia has begun its unprovocational invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, and since October it has been conducting attacks on energy infrastructure, leaving millions of Ukrainians without electricity. / REL/
