“Today we have good news from the south. The number of Ukrainian flags returning to their rightful country under the ongoing defence operation has already reached dozens. 41 settlements have been liberated,” said Zelensky.
Zelensky used his daily video release to congratulate several units involved in the progress made in the southern region of Kherson.
He added, “everything that is happening now has been achieved for months of bitter war. Reached with courage, pain and loss. It's not the enemy leaving. It's the Ukrainians who are pursuing the invaders at great cost. ”
Zelensky said police units had moved to several settlements in Kherson to begin with stabilising measures, but the liberation of Ukrainian territory was only the first step in a long process.
