The Mauna Loa Volcani is 4,169 feet [4,169 m] above sea level and expands into a territory of over 5,179 miles [5,179 km].
The Activation of the volcano follows several earthquakes reported in this region by Sunday.
According to American authorities, Mauna Loa has erupted 33 times since 1843.
The last major explosion was reported in 1984.
