In September 2021, Eurozone inflation growth reached 3.4 percent, which was the highest growth in the last 13 years. But since September, this percentage has increased significantly and is now at 10.7 percent staggering, reports CNBC.
However, one of the members of the European Central Bank (ECB) believes the price hike may soon begin to decline. The peak of inflation is “almost here”, says Edward Scicluna, who is also the governor of the Malta Bank. But he adds that we still have to be vigilant because the European Central Bank is dependent on data.
The ECB will publish its projections in mid-December after making a decision on growth rates. In September, they predicted that the inflation rate would rise by 8.1 per cent this year and 5.5 per cent next year. Their goal is to reduce inflation to 2 percent.
