Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has ironised with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement that he will not go to Brussels only for license plates, but for final agreements with mutual recognition. On Tuesday, Vuciqi has reiterated the statement issued a day earlier that if for Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Kosovo status issue is closed, it is the same for him.
Commenting on Kurt's statement about “Frankfurter Allgemaine Zeitung” that in Brussels it goes not only for license plates, but for the final agreement, Vuciqi has said that “in order, he can go to Brussels whenever he wants, as he wishes, it is his will”.
“A has said that the status issue is over for him ... Even for me the status issue has long ended, in accordance with the UN Charter and UN Resolution 1244, Vuciqi said in Norway. “
Kurti in the German newspaper said days ago that in Brussels it goes to negotiate the final agreement, which, according to him, should be reached by the spring of 2023.
Kurti and Vuciqi last Monday failed to reach agreement on the issue of illegal plates issued by Serbia. Kurti refused reconciliation because the issue was not included to be discussed on the final agreement, which, according to Kosovo's prime minister, was at the invitation made by mediators. Two days after the failure of the meeting between leaders, the chief negotiators reached reconciliation.
