In a statement published today, she has said that besides Belarus, Kosovo is the only country in Europe whose citizens cannot travel freely to the EU.
Kosovo visa liberalisation and EU-led dialogue must remain specific issues. Kosovo is the only European country (except Belarus), whose citizens cannot travel freely to the EU. Despite having the longest list required by every European country to obtain visa-free status, conditions have been met more than 6 years ago and are repeatedly confirmed by the European Commission. However, Kosovo citizens still stand in line for visas even though the visa-free regime has been given to Nicaragua or Venezuela of Maduros”, it says, Cramon's statement.
She has said visa liberalisation is too late and must be delivered unconditionally;
Cremon has said that withdrawing from the Council of Ministrys agenda is unacceptable.
Kosovo is really a country where the vast majority of its citizens want to be part of the EU and we have to realise what we have promised long ago in order to restore some of the EU's credibility and prove that our words and statements are not just empty. We strongly believe that Kosovo's country is in the EU and we hope that the first step in that direction will be the unconditional immediate confirmation of visa liberalisation. The peaceful solution to the current crisis in northern Kosovo will further support this” road, Cromon has said.
