The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, has been deeply disappointed that an agreement has not been reached between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels on Monday.
Von Croamon has been calling on Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, to return to the negotiating table.
I deeply regret that there was no real interest in reaching an agreement between Serbia and Kosovo under EU mediation. Many things are at risk, including the already achieved integration in northern Kosovo. In times of war, the last thing it takes is an escalation in our inner courtyard. Reaching a compromise requires political will and bold leadership to find a lasting solution. Therefore, I call on both Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vucinqi to return to the negotiating table, as there is no alternative to the EU-led dialogue assisted by Miroslav Lajcak”, Von Croamon wrote. /Periscopi/
