Olexey Goncharenko, a Ukrainian MP, told the BBC: “Ukraine wants peace and we want peace more than any other nation in the world today, because we are suffering from this terrible fight”.
He added that there would have to be a lasting peace so the world wouldn't be “built in a jungle with a predator hunting peaceful nations”.
Ukraine can still rely on Western countries, particularly the US and Great Britain.
But the G20 summit has also stressed pressure from other countries, particularly India and Indonesia, for negotiations to occur as soon as possible. /abcnews. al
