Turks produce first electric car

Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan, has announced that Turkey's first electric car will be on the streets in the first quarter of next year. On Saturday, in the province of Bursa, Erdogan attended the opening ceremony of the Turkish complex of mass electricity production TOGG.

The solemn ceremony is held at the National Festival on Republic Day, which Turkey celebrates on 29 October.

“TOGG is the name of the project that motivates all of us to enjoy this shared dream of a strong future for our country”, Erdogan said.

As recently announced, the C-SUV model fully electric TOGG, which will undergo panel tests lasting about five months, will arrive at the halls in March 2023.

After that, buyers will be offered a fully electric seat in segment C in 2025. Then you will follow the compact bitch, B-SUV and C-MPV, which will complete the truck range of TOGG company vehicles.

These five electric models will use the same mechanical platform, and TOGG aims to reach a production capacity of 175,000 units annually and trade a total of 1,000 vehicles by 2030.
