The Democratic Party of Kosovo as the largest opposition party had proposed attracting up to 30 per cent of the pension savings.
This party's MP, Bekim Haxhiu, on behalf of the PDK Parliamentary Group on March 9th had handed over the draft law on completing and changing the Law on Pension Savings Fund, which would enable the withdrawal of these means.
However, this bill had not received the green light of Kosovo Assembly deputies in June.
A total of 102 deputies had voted for the bill, when 44 pro, 57 against and 1 abstentions were voted on.
Following this failure, Kosovo citizens through more than 20,000 signatures were directed to Kosovo Assembly deputies to be allowed to withdraw the Trust.
Under the PDK proposal, which was not approved in the Assembly, contributors with less than 10,000 euros in pension savings are required to have the right to withdraw 30 per cent of the vehicles.
Those who have up to 20 thousand euros by 25 percent, from 20,000 to 30 thousand, 20 percent.
For taxpayers who have pension savings in the amount of 30 thousand euros: 15 percent and those over 40 thousand euros.
