Talat Xhaferi: Kosovo to listen to international suggestions

So said North Macedonia Assembly Chairman Talat Xhaferi for Kosovo Public Television.

“I think it should, that the suggestions of those who have historically supported us in all these processes and in particular that have supported the independent status of the Republic of Kosovo and with stressed forces are guarantor of Kosovo's status. That communication should be more direct and productive in the sense of actions that must be done to overcome the” situation, Xhaferi said.

Northern Macedonia's chief parliament does not rule out the possibility of worsening the situation in northern Mitrovica reflected in the region.

If we refer to extreme actions, the influence in the region cannot be ruled out, for the fact that the region is fragile in a historical sense and the international factor has made certain efforts to ensure stability. We are in different stages as countries, so we cannot exclude indirect influence in the region”, Xhaferi said.

Northern Macedonia is interested in having permanent solutions between Kosovo and Serbia, which will ensure mutual and European recognition for both countries.
