Szunyog: I'm surprised at lowering salaries in the justice system.

In a Twitter post, he said he is surprised by this decision.

“I am surprised by the Kosovo Government's decision to significantly cut the salaries of judges and prosecutors”, Szunyog said.

According to him, adequate financing and independence of judicial institutions are fundamental stones of the rule of law system and fundamental requirements of the EU integration process.

The government, at yesterday's meeting, has prosecuted it for approval in the Parliament of the Bill on the Salaries, but previously has lowered the salaries of judges and prosecutors.
