“We have been preparing for such situations for many years in NATO and we have to make sure that when there are incidents or accidents, when there is a war going on in our neighborhood, that they do not get out of control”, Stoltenberg told the BBC.
“Precisely we secured this yesterday by reacting prudently, calmly but also determined”.
Stoltenberg's interview comes after two people were killed in Poland after a missile attack.
