It was one of the weirdest real soap operas that happened to Vedat Muriqi during the summer. The Kosovo striker was thought for a moment that he would play for the Belgian team, Club Brugge. Everything was ready for the Kosovo attacker, whose cardboard still belonged to Rome's Lazio, to join the ranks of the triple Belgian champion in power... but everything was complicated in medical tests, where Belgians said he did not pass them.
But finally, Muriqi signed for Mallorca, where he formerly borrowed from this club. His decision was completely right. He scored 7 goals in 11 games in La League, while Brugge lost a good transfer this summer!
“When I was in Italy I spent difficult times”, Muriqi told the Spanish newspaper Relevo. “I was very well in Turkey (t Fenerbahce). I scored goals and people liked me. I took the offer from Lazio (the Italian club bought it for 20m euros) and doubted making that decision. But, Lazio is one of the best clubs in Italy and played the Champions League at the time. I made the decision to go there, but I got hurt and didn't start well. The days have passed. I scored two goals and thought I'd come back. But they didn't give me the chance to play. When I was bad, I played about 35 to 40 minutes, but when I was good, they gave me no chance. It was almost two very difficult years of my life”
When I got home, it didn't go right. I was angry, sad, and couldn't even love my family. It was a very difficult situation for me. I talked to my friends and especially to my wife. She's stronger in mind and she told me to be strong, to be ready when the case occurs”, he follows. “But that moment never came. ”
I thought football was over for me. I scored 20 goals with Fenerbahce and then finished. I started to think what happened to me was just luck. That God would have wanted it to be like this, but it's over now. I didn't feel right. My wife and mother helped me a lot. After January (2022), I made the decision to go to Mallorca, and this changed my life”, Muriqi said in this interview.
