Serbian journalist: Belgrade has taken its hands from Kosovo

International efforts to find solutions between the two sides ( Kosovo- Serbia) has especially increased in recent days when less than 10 days have remained until the introduction of the penalty measure to all drivers who circulate with illegal license plates. Numerous flags, street inscriptions, and intense nationalism.

This is the impression of the French journalist from Paris, who for the first time visited North Mitrovica.

Helios Molina is already aware of the current situation in this part of the Republic and the actions of Serbs on this side.

Although the situation is calm, he says he feels some sort of tension.

“We can feel tension, many flags anywhere in this Serbian part. Nothing bad on the streets. Very quietly at the moment, because I don't know for later, both parts of the city will probably one day unite, without borders without nationalism”, French journalist Helios Molina told RTK.

With direct pressure from Serbia, all Serbs working in the north abandoned Kosovo institutions. Although the situation is currently calm, the deputy chairman in the Municipal Assembly in Northern Mitrovica, Skender Sadiku, hopes for a solution before the 21st.

” I hope that before the 21st year, perhaps the final agreement will be reached and bring stability and I say that the north of Kosovo, in a vow, is burdened, over the years it has been traumatic and it's time to return to normal...”

But for all this situation Serbian journalist Branislav Krstik thinks it is not the problem of the Government of Kosovo's decision to convert Serbian illegal plates to RKS, but of the Franco-German plan of the agreement between the two countries.

The “That plan is understandable to official Belgrade that it has been rejected, because Kosovo has been treated as an independent state in the plan. For Belgrade it is unacceptable. But the time comes, because Belgrade has taken its hands from Kosovo...”, said Branislav Krstic, Serbian journalist.

Meanwhile, according to the Government's decision, from November 21st to January 21st, owners who still have cars with Serbian illegal license plates in Kosovo will be fined 150 euros.
