Serbian analyst: We're not ready for serious dialogue.

Kosovo, in the eyes of Serbian analyst Dusan Janjic, is more prepared for dialogue than Serbia. The “in Pristina has institutions, a negotiating team, an expert council, it is clear that the government deals with negotiations with Belgrade, rules know, we don't know who does it, it should be Petar Petkoviqi”. So he answers the question of who actually deals with the essence of dialogue.

Janjak told N1 that Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is probably the main and single negotiator, and added that Serbia is not ready for serious dialogue.

“We are not ready for serious dialogue, we don't have expert teams, usually the negotiator shouldn't be a politician, I assume it will be Ivica Dacic. The problem here is fear of doing anything, of who the responsibility will be carried. All governments from Kostunica to here live in their ideological delusion and deceive the people that Kosovo is part of Serbia. Yes, on a map and officially legally, but in reality Kosovo is a territory under the control of Kosovo authorities”, says Janjic.

The deadline for reregistering vehicles set by the Kosovo government expired today. Despite international pressure, Albin Kurti's Government announced there will be no delays in the deadline, from Tuesday to November 21st citizens with Serbia's license plates will be reproved and that after that date they will be fined.

He believes Kurt's been doing the “halves step” when it comes to reregistering, since he has rejected the international suggestion that the postponement is 10 months.

His “character is short-term game, as I see everyone supports it. July 31st should be the first date, now it's October, see how long it's been moved. The solution to the license plate problem has begun since 2017. Now we expect the movement of Belgrade”, he added.

Janjak says the Quint states are clear that Kurti and Vuciq will not agree to a sustainable solution to the plates.
