Serbia opens calls for voluntary military service

The Serbian Defence Ministry has invited all citizens of Serbia between the ages of 19 and 30 who want to wear the uniform of the Serbian armed forces to apply for a six-month voluntary armed service. The call for applications is open throughout the year, while applications for the December reference period are open by the end of November, the ministry is claimed.

“Young people and young people who decide to voluntarily serve in the Serbian Army, in addition to the possibility of adopting “new capabilities, to learn about modern military weapons and equipment, will receive monthly salaries of about 38,000 dinars (about 325 euros) and will be provided for remunification of travel spending, health insurance, accommodation, food, as well as military clothing<3>, is expected at the Serbian ministry's announcement.

They also add that after the military service is completed, young and newly interested ones will be given the opportunity to immediately enter professional military service in the Serbian Army with accelerated procedure.
