The renowned journalist: Unwed woman after 30s, Albanians see her as a ghost

66% of Albanians think the ideal age for a man to marry is 26-30.

Reporter Jacques Lekatar invited to the “Barometri” at Euronews Albania has indicated that Albanians a woman who spends 30 years of age view her as a ghost.

She said that from the age of 31 onward, the woman does not exist for Albanians.

I'm worried about that graph. So from the age of 31, there is no more. I, being 40 years old and unmarried, am at zero. We're very close to tradition. We 30-year-old woman view it as a ghost”- she said.

18.4% of those questioned by Barometer at Euronews Albania think the right age is 31-35, and 13.8% of them think it is 21-25 years old.

While, for girls, 46.7% of Albanians think the ideal age of getting married is 30-36, 44.2% of them think it is 21-25 and 6.3% of them think it is 31-35.

Albanians also think the ideal age to be a father to a boy is 30-36 years old at 59.3%, 31-35 with 31.6% and 21-25 with 6.8%.

But that changes when it comes to girls, where 56.7% Albanians think the ideal age for mothering is 26-31, 29.2% of them think girls should become mothers at 21-25 and 12.4% think 31-35.

The findings are of the Barometer at Euronews Albania, conducted during the period 9-21 September 2022, conducted by the MRB and Data Centrum, at a national level with 1,000 interviews face to face.
