Rama progress alarms Kurti is aiming to get 38m euros to be brought to the bank

Rama has said that they strongly object to the statement of Article 6 of the 2023 Project budget, which says that “all of the personal revenues collected before fiscal year 2022 and unexplored become part of the Kosovo Fund in the bank balance”.

According to Rama, the adoption of the 2023 Budget Bill in this form would present violations of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.

“I as head of the capital, chosen to represent and protect the interests of Pristina citizens, am obliged to ensure that their revenues return to development investments for Pristina. In this case, there are about 38m euros in personal revenues collected by Pristina citizens, which cannot be replaced to distribute institutions and other municipalities. I want to remind another important element, Pristina daily is attended by tens of thousands of citizens of other Kosovo municipalities, constantly loading its infrastructure. If the 2023 Budget Bill is adopted in the current form would seriously damage the development of capital projects, which citizens of other municipalities also enjoy,” wrote Rama.

He has called on MPs to protect the capital's interests and to step up and vote for Article 6's 9th Parliament on the 2023 Budget Bill.

I call on the respected deputies of the Republic of Kosovo to protect the interests of the capital, where they live and act a large number of citizens from all over Kosovo. I urge you to commit and vote to erase the statement of Article 6 of the 2022 and unexplored Article 9 Bill on the 2023 Budget, which stipulates that: “All of the personal revenues collected before fiscal year 2022 and unexplored, become part of the Kosovo Fund in bank balance”, Rama wrote.
