Radojevic does not exclude barricades: Serbs change stance for plates

North Mitrovica Mayor Milan Radojevic has said that Kosovo police at the Jarinje and Brnjak crossings have begun making warnings, but that certainly will not change the position of Serbs in northern Kosovo for re-registering, the RTS reports. He has not ruled out the possibility of barricades, but has stressed that peace and stability are in the interest of Serbs.
He says he could not imagine a situation where Kosovo police fined an ambulance or bus carrying children and that Serbs would stay away only because they had KM signs.
“With those signs, they can travel anywhere in the world other than Kosovo because of the whims of a man from Pristina”, Radojevic stressed.
He said that “is certain this will not change the attitude of Serbs in northern Kosovo regarding re-registering”.
He added that citizens are determined not to make any changes as far as plates are concerned.
In the third phase, the introduction of test signs is predicted. However, Radojevic is not expected to arrive at the third phase.
“We cannot make Pristina more pressure than we have done so far. The fact is we have communication with international representatives. With the implementation of this provision only contributes to the deterioration of the security situation”, Radojevic says.
