Price hikes in Kosovo, eggs, sugar expensive

According to the latest price update from the Kosovo Statistics Agency of basic products, it is noted that the price movement these days is also marked on sugar and eggs.

Until a few days ago, 5kg of sugar has been traded at 5.28 euros, this essential product, according to the AKS, has reached the price of 5.90 euros, Kosovas reports.

The eggs are also expensive, thus reaching over 4 euros a set, or 30 pieces of eggs. Out of 3.88 euros the amount it was a week ago, a set of 30 pieces of eggs) yesterday and today it is being traded at a price of 4.01 euros.

Also, the price for firewood -- 1 cubic metre (m3) -- remains expensive, at 67.33 euros.

The Kosovo Assembly yesterday has adopted the bill for setting ceiling prices on basic products.

Products that will have ceiling prices are cereals, flour, wheat, bread, rice, pasta, sunflower food oil, milk, kitchen salt, chicken eggs, chicken meat, crystal sugar, personal hygiene products, and wood for burning.
