In an interview for Euronews Albania, Arifi said that something like that was done again on Monday in the case of November 28th, corresponding to Albania's 110th anniversary of independence.
Arifi announced that the Presevo municipality building has been observed in the last 24 hours by local police, but also by Serbian secret services.
“Yes. It's not the first time we've raised the national flag here in Presevo. Five or six times he's got me putting the flag up there. In this context, we feel both proud and well. Our atmosphere is festive, since we raise the national flag, we turn Albania into Presevo. That is how it stands, and in this context, all Albanians in the Presevo Valley when they see the flag in municipal administration, feel at least for one day Albania the Great.
Like every year, even this year our administration, the municipal building has been monitored by local police, but also by Serbian secret services in the last 24 hours, to see who decides, how many hours you decide, how you decide. There's a very direct approach, my projects slow down, sometimes even canceled being financed by internationals. They send me to the prosecutor, to court, punish me with certain amounts of money. That's the only reason, it happens every year”, he stressed.
Among other things, Arifi underlined that the government in Albania, Kosovo and internationals know that fact, but have not reacted.
