Protesters in Gjakova, who were mostly mothers and family members of the homeless persons of war who were trying to prevent some Serb pilgrims from visiting Gjakova at the Orthodox Christmas holiday. They had felt offended by the former Serbian minister's statement.
Today, seven years after that event, Jablanovic says his statement was interpreted as it has been confirmed to someone.
Although he has apologized to mothers who have felt offended, Jablanocic says that no Albanian media media media have issued his exact statement.
I know exactly what I said in that statement, and the media know how they broadcast it. Anyone can convey to you the words you never told him like they were yours. Never in any Albanian media have I seen my stem statement about how I gave it. It's always been interpreted as a con. It's closed to me that I don't want to deal with” he said in an interview given to InDox.
Jabllanovic was dismissed from the post of minister for Kthim and Community, following the insistence of civil society after his statement in Zocisht of Rahovec, which mothers of missing Albanian civilians of Gjakova called savages.
Jablanovic has added that his comments did not concern the families of missing persons, but those who had thrown items on the bus that Serb citizens had. Jablanovic has apologised after thousands of citizens in Gjakova have protested on Saturday 17 January, demanding the minister's dismissal.
