Meanwhile, today the deadline for submitting member states' remarks about the Czech Republic's proposal for visa liberalisation for Kosovo has expired.
But it is said that two states have prevented this from proceeding away. Of these countries, Spain had submitted remarks, while several other states demanded more clarification.
“We cannot talk about individual member states as we still continue with negotiations. There are still some issues that need to be resolved. We hope, however, that soon we will reach a” deal, is the Czech Presidency's statement to Clankosova. tv when asked about the new stalemate in relation to visa liberalisation for Kosovo.
We remember that the Czech EU presidency has proposed that liberalisation be linked to functionalisation of the travel system E. TIAS, as France requested, but at the same time set the date for strengthening the decision: “no later than December 1, 2023”
