According to the AKK, the government has intervened in the text part of the law, adding a portion.
Kosovo's “government during the drafting of the Law on the 2023 budget has intervened in the text part of the law, and thereby undermines the financial independence of the municipalities. More precisely at Article 9 of the 2023 Budget Law, paragraph 6 has been silently added to the last passus of its own revenues collected before fiscal year 2022 and unexplored, become part of the Kosovo Fund in the bank balance”, the announcement of association said.
The AKK has said that it is trying to make it possible for municipalities to take in unexplored private revenues.
“On behalf of the Kosovo Communist Association, the Board wants this pass taken off because it is also in conflict with the Law of Finance of Local Power and Public Finance”.
The municipalities have demanded that there be no interference from the central level.
