The same will be directed to register their cars in the registration centres with official license plates RKS.
Following the fine period for two months from January 21st, 2023, there will be test plates, while the latest move after March 21st of next year shows that all owners who do not have registered cars with RKS license plates will be obliged to act that way.
Interior Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla has written on Facebook with her parents after the Kosovo Government's decision to implement the Targa decision gradually until April 21st, 2023.
The first phase of reproof has already entered into force.
Svecla has said that Kosovo's “Police, in accordance with the government's new decision and legislation in force, for all owners of the vehicles that circulate with illegal license plates, begins to pronounce the measure of rebuke, with the same demand that they be led to any of the Auto-registering Centres to register their tools with RKS<18x1>.
He once called on Kosovo Serbs to convert plates to RKS.
“Format all our citizens who own tools equipped with illegal license plates “PR”, “KM”, “PZ”, “GL”, “UR”, “PE”, “DA” or“From June 10th 1999 to April 21, 2022, to register their tools with RKS license plates and thus successfully complete this process that contributes directly to public safety, traffic safety, and the return of legitimacy to the country”, he wrote on Facebook.
“Encourage citizens not to be held hostage by political interests and criminal groups but to exploit all facilities and register their means in all census centres, regardless of the location or location”, he has said.
In a direct link from the country's north, Klan Kosovo journalist seized a moment when a Serbian car with a license plate of “KM” circulated in front of the Kosovo Police following the new decision's entry into force, but that the same did not stop it from declaring the measure of rebuke.
United States and the European Union have voiced disappointment with Kosovo Government for failing to implement Western demand that the decision on plates be postponed for 10 months
