Kurti also talked about Kosovo's efforts to ensure new recognitions and time spent in Serbian prisons, as well as has answered journalist Michael Martens' questions about whether he is a stubborn politician or not.
Kurti has also been asked about the approach of European Union diplomacy chief Josep Borrell.
“I am not stubborn, I am principled”, Kurti has declared regarding Borrell's statement that Kosovo's prime minister has proved not constructive.
Kurti further during the interview has stated that the ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Jeffrey Havenier, who proposed delaying the decision on license plates for at least 48 hours after the failure of the first phase of talks in Brussels on Monday on the issue, has been much more informed than he himself of the situation in the north.
“The American ambassador had more information than I had about the situation in North”, Kurti stressed, adding that “agreed to a compromise in the license issue after I was warned by the American ambassador to Pristina that the situation in northern Kosovo could seriously deteriorate”, Kurti said in an interview for Frankfurter Allison Zeitung.
