The prime minister has announced that 5,000 people will work for this process.
“Around 5,000 people will work on population registration, family economies and residences from 1 September to 16 October 2023. Today, the 2023 Population Record Week and the four-day REKOS Conference, organised by the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for consultations with interested parties.
The data on size, distribution and composition of the population, living conditions and educational level are the empirical balance of the present and the basis of policies for the future. Every citizen of Kosovo will be registered. The Kosovo government will support the AKS for the census to be quality, professional, and inclusive” writes Kurti in the announcement.
