The purpose of the recent compromise at “the license plate crisis” was for Serbia and Kosovo to start negotiations soon “for a full normalisation of relations”.
“We have agreed not to implement our decision to penalise drivers with illegal Serbian license plates. Serbia has agreed to stop issuing plates inherited from Slobodan Milosevic's regime. We did this not only to de-tradition, but also to create an opportunity for the quick start of negotiations for a full normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, has the term Kurti.
Kurti said that “these should end before spring 2023. That was the real purpose of compromise”.
