On my visit to London, I met with United Kingdom Foreign Affairs Minister James Cleverly, whom I congratulated for my new assignment. We talked about our bilateral relations, how to strengthen them further, as well as advancing regional co-operation.
In the British Parliament today I met the deputies of the United Kingdom Parliamentary Group, All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), Harriet Balddin, Stephen Doughty, Alex Sobel, Martin Vickers, Luke Pollard, Matthew Offord and Tony Lloyd. MPs pledged full support for Kosovo for membership in the Council of Europe, NATO and other international institutions.
At a meeting with the leader of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer and his deputy, Mrs. Angela Rayner, we talked about friendship between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom and our common values and interests. Sir Keir Starmer offered support for Kosovo in the arena and international integrations.
I also met Secretary of Foreign Affairs in the shadow of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom, Mr. David Lammy. In addition to the current circumstances in international politics, we discussed the partnership between our two countries. Mr. Lami stressed that the support of the Labusist Party has never been missed for Kosovo, especially since Prime Minister Tony Blair until now.
