Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is participating in the Vienna Economic Forum, where it is discussing ensuring regional economic development in an uncertain environment and how to manage challenges under the pressure of reality.
Kurti at this forum said economic growth in Southeast Europe can be achieved with the democratisation of governments and values.
We need to co-operate in what we have in common, rather than for our differences, for institutional stability, through democratic and institutional values... Economic growth in Southeast Europe can be achieved with the democratisation of governments and values. The Kosovo government is planning 4.5 billion pure energy investments in Kosovo”, Kurti has said at this forum.
He spoke of Kosovo's achievements, emphasising the country's rankings as the first in the region and second in the world for rule of law, as well as economic growth.
“We are the first in the region and the second in the world in terms of rule of law, Kosovo has been set up 17 positions higher, according to the Worldwide Index Index. To make that comment even more vulnerable, our emerging economy is 10.7 percent that is the largest in the region, and the largest in Kosovo since the post-war” has added Kurti.
He said Kosovo has 4 per cent growth in GDP and 88 export growth, meanwhile, the export-import deficit, according to him, is 1 to 9.
“Many has been made and many remain to become”, he added.
He also spoke of subsidies for students, pensioners, the public sector, and private ones.
We've made packages for those who save energy saving 100 kilowatts hours, from last year, we're providing a 200 kilowatt subvention. We did subsisting for pensioners, entrepreneur's students, public sector and private. We have kept the promise that the students will not pay for their research”, he said.
The “as far as renewable energy is concerned, is to continue with decarnation, we have very ambitious strategies. From next year we will continue on on projects in renewable energy construction. There will be development in battery capacity, as well as development of work force”, he added.
