Krasniqi visits the MCC in Washington: Her investments changed my neighborhood.

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has been hosted today for a meeting in Washington by leaders of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), with which he has discussed its investment programme in Kosovo.

Krasniqi has said that as a result of this corporation's investments, even the neighbourhood he lives in Pristina has received new views.

“Today, in Washington DC, I also met with leaders of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to discuss the success of this organisation's investment programmes in Kosovo. I expressed deep thanks for the up-to-date investments from the Threshold programme, especially those that were focused on efficiency. Even my childhood neighborhood Ulpiana today has received a new view thanks to MCC”, he wrote.

He has said the PDK will fully support the processes of the next Compact programme.

But it is a pity that Kosovo has closed the door to much needed investments through the MCC in gas infrastructure and in the production of electricity through gas. Kosovo needs long-term energy sector strategies and any delay in drafting and implementing it causes delays in addressing the energy crisis and in ensuring the increased supply of which citizens will pay”, he has said.
