On the second day of official visit to the United States, I met Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, who is also the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Mr. Gabriel Escobar. At the hosted at the American State Department, first of all, Mr. Escobar, I thanked him for all the stages of firm American support to our country.
Our greatest national achievements, such as the liberation, independence and statehood of Kosovo, were also made thanks to the support of the American Parliament and through strategic co-ordination with the US. An outstanding success account that was made possible only by mutual faith, sincerity, and mutual support, which may be possible only by two devoted allies.
Mr. Escobar told the PDK's position that listing and co-ordinating with the US is without an alternative, even because of the continued support it gives us in the process of integration and strengthening in the international arena, including Kosovo's goal for NATO, EU and UN membership.
During the meeting, we also discussed the current situation and challenges for Kosovo's security and the necessity of intensifying efforts in dialogue with Serbia, on reaching a comprehensive agreement with mutual recognition at the centre.
And so, Mr. Escobar assured me that the PDK will offer all its support and assistance to any issue affecting Kosovo's state interest, confirming the seriousness of the new geopolitical situation in Europe, following Russian aggression in Ukraine.
At the end of the meeting, Mr Escobar assured him that the position of the people of Kosovo, no doubt even of the The PDK as opposition leaders, for the preservation and empowerment of bilateral and strategic reports between Kosovo and the United States, is indisputable and unchanged.
When the White House is the address and when the alliance with the United States is the road, the affirmation and national and state success of Kosovo is the inevitable destination.
