So said journalist Gjeracina Tuhina, during discussion by the Open Society Foundation (KFOS), where tests were presented on the visa liberalisation process titled “Visa liberalisation for Kosovo: Start footer”
Tuhina said that if there are no objections from member states, Kosovars are expected on December 1st, 2023.
“They have the market to approach the positions of another group of states that have insisted that all Kosovars, despite the ETIAS, have the clear date when it is the last time to start visa liberalisation. You found a compromise formula between two groups of states”.
“Formululation, which includes implementing visa liberalisation with ETIAS fully operational, in the event Kosovars have December 1st as the last term when they will enjoy freedom of movement. Now this procedure is in silent procedure, we have two more days until 14 o'clock for member states to adopt this text. If by Wednesday no state has any text remarks been considered approved”, she said.
