After a month from the last meeting, the European Council's visa working group returns to a two-day meeting held on November 8th and 9th.
The issue of visa liberalisation for Kosovo lies at the 3rd point of the working Group's agenda.
In an interview for Radio Free Europe last month, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi had declared that Kosovo has been instructed to use its bilateral channels to discuss new requirements for the visa removal issue.
The “in order to reach consensus, to push the process forward in the upcoming meeting of the visa processing group, held on 9-10 November of this year”, Bislimi had said in an interview on October 14th.
Meanwhile, last week, Germany's Ambassador to Kosovo, Joern Rohde, said he hopes the decision on abolishing visas for Kosovo will be made in the next “collection of” of the Workers Group.
“I say I hope visa liberalisation occurs in next year, early next year because even next week, liberalisation will last several months”, Rohd said.
