This week's Wednesday was by no means desirable to the judicial system. That's because they saw their salaries under the new Law, which the Government of Kosovo approved. He welcomed points first by prosecutors and judges and then even the widest spectrum of law connoisseurs. It's being considered that this causes citizen classes, since they're already blocking...

Based on statements of property by prosecutors and judges in 2017, and in 2022, a judge is expected to pay for 833 euros. One judge in 2017 has been paid 1,417 euros per month.

Kosovo Judiciary Council Chairman Albert Zogaj, during a media conference, has said the Kosovo Judiciary Council has made a decision to suspend co-operation with Government and reduce the work of courts.

Kosovo Judiciary Council and the heads of courts require the Government immediately to annul the decision on November 23rd 2022; the work of courts is reduced and will continue solely for essential services; the list of essential services will be approved by the KDR tomorrow; KDR and courts suspend co-operation and participation in any organised activity, or where representatives of the government are present; if the government does not abolish the November 23rd decision, KDR on December 8th, 2022 will make decisions for other measures”, Zogaj said,

KKP deadline government to abolish decision by December 8th

The Prosecutorial Council has decided that prosecutors will reduce jobs and only provide essential services and have set a deadline until 8 December for the decision to be abolished.

In the meantime, the prosecutor's work will be reduced and will continue only with essential services, as well as the Council and prosecutors will suspend all forms of co-operation with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. If this decision is not abolished by December 08th, 2022, the Council will decide on other more radical measures”, it said.

Haxhiu: We cannot keep a decision in life that is illegal

“We cannot keep a decision in our lives that is illegal”, Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu said at the media conference.

“It's far more important than an illegal law that abolished Kurt yesterday what we're talking about. As you know, at the time this decision was made, it was to raise itself to pay, as it was a conflict of interest and we made a criminal statement about Haradinaj, you know what happened I was never invited. Once again, we cannot keep a decision that is illegal. ”

Bajrami for the Government's decision to cut salaries: Why is this a thrilling time

In a post in its Facebook profile, LDK deputy Hykmete Bajrami said the decision to cut salaries in the justice system has been made at a turbulent time.

She's been asking “why exactly now this” decision.

Hoti for lowering salaries for judges and prosecutors: Government decision is illegal

Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, now deputy of the Parliament, has criticised the reduction of salaries for officials in the justice system.

Hoti said the salaries of judges and prosecutors should not be affected, adding that the Government's decision is illegal.

“Pages in the justice system should not be affected. Today's government decision is illegal. This issue was considered in February 2020, when the decision to cut salaries was made only for the government cabinet by the then coalition. V V- LDK, not even for the justice system. Those who have made this decision today know that the decision is illegal. ”

Can't and shouldn't be allowed: Tahiri reacts to lowering salaries of judges and prosecutors

According to the chief of the PDK Parliamentary Group, this wage reduction has nothing to do with the budget, nor with savings, but, as he says, this is the prime minister Kurti's attempt to create an identity crisis against these officials.

The salary reduction of judges and prosecutors has nothing to do with budgeting, savings, or legitimacy. This decision is Albin Kurti's deliberate attempt to create an identity crisis against those who work daily for order and law”, Tahiri wrote on Facebook.

AAK Tahiri: A decision to cut salaries for judges, prosecutors to be sent to Constitutional

AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri has reacted to the Kosovo government's decision to cut salaries for judges and prosecutors, saying that as such it is unconstitutional and should be submitted to the Constitutional Court.

He in a Facebook post wrote that to be the greatest irony, this unconstitutional decision abolishing a Constitutional Court decision is made on behalf of the return of legitimacy to the country.

“Call on MPs and the Ombudsman for this arbitrary and revenge decision against the justice system to submit to the Constitutional Court for constitutional control and restore constitutionality to the work of the justice system”, Tahiri wrote.

Miftarian: Government decision to cut salaries is illegal, cannot be implemented

Ehat Miftaraj, director of the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), says the government's decision to cut the salaries of judges and prosecutors is illegal.

This decision has no application. I can't keep up an illegal decision. I'm sorry about Prime Minister Kurti's level of people counseling him in matters of justice. These don't like the good of the Prime Minister. The same should not put the prime minister in such situations. )

Syla: Judges and Prosecutors head to Constitutional, Decision Will Have Effects

Former Mitrovica chief prosecutor, Fatmir Syla, has said today's government decision to cut the salaries of judges and prosecutors is wrong.

This will certainly have consequences for the justice system as a whole. I say so about the fact that even in these conditions that judges and prosecutors have so far worked on, there have been criticisms and rumours that these salaries supposedly deserve, which I consider to have been a wrong attitude and that it is true that most judges and prosecutors are professional. I'm not saying that maybe a small number of them deserve, but the salary especially affects their efficiency and performance”, has been expressed in “Info Magazine”

Z. Minister of Svechles: We can never pay the judiciary how much criminals are willing to pay

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bardhil Dobra has said that the state would never be able to pay judicial system officials as much as they are willing to pay criminals to corrupt, in response to rumours that lowering salaries in the justice system risks leading to an increase in corruption levels.

We're dealing with a sector where there can be no competition with crime money because we can never pay what criminals are willing to pay. One that doesn't work on ethics, morality and service to the general good -- 3,000 or 3,500 euros -- is not enough to prevent corruption. This issue is related to ethics, morality, and professionalism. Those who want to be corrupted will be corrupted by between 3,000 and 30,000 euros. What can we say to an official in the ministry that gets 500 euros in wages. To say that because his salary is so low, he too must be corrupted. If we get off this concept then I believe that we are far from building a state that functions on values and on the” law, Dobra said as he spoke of the Government's decision at Wednesday's meeting for the Government's decision, under which judges' salaries and prosecutors have returned as before the increase that was made at Haradinaj Government's decision in 2017. ”

VV in 2018: We do not object to salary increases for prosecutors and judges

The Vetevendosje movement in 2018 had not rejected the decision to raise salaries for judges and prosecutors.

In the LVV communiqué in 2018, where they had rejected the decision to raise salaries in Government and had sought to reverse this decision, but part of this communique clearly states that “Currently, the prosecutor's salary is 1,000 euros, while the court's 1,200th salary goes up for Appeals and Supreme and Special Prosecutor”.

“As for this issue, we do not object to salary increases for judges and prosecutors. Currently, the prosecutor's salary is 1,000 euros, while the court's 1,200-euro salary goes up for Apel and the Supreme and Special Prosecutor. Those in need of salary raises are civilian staff of justice institutions, which have salaries below 400 euros.”, the LVV communiqué said in 2018. /Missini Horseyard ) PERISCOP/
