Judge Maliqi, owner of a town, asked the other judge to refuse to sequencing.

The prosecutor of the famous case “Brezovica”, Rasim Maloku, has claimed to have been notified by the judge of the preliminary procedure in this case, Ibrahim Idrizi, who reportedly met with Supreme Court Judge Agim Maliqi, following a call for visual selection. For this denouncing of prosecutor Maloku, Kosovo Judiciary Council leader Albert Zogaj has said he cannot speak of proper names regardless of who it is about.

He added that procedures are also clear in the sense of discipline, according to him, when one can potentially commit disciplinary and ethical violations but also in the sense of responsibility beyond discipline.

“In this case I am believing until this moment, even the Supreme Court, the chairman of the Supreme Court, respectively, but other levels are moving within their responsibilities, with proper care to preserve the integrity of the process even in court but at the same time not to have any kind of interference in the overall investigation process of the case, since this is certainly far more important than the individual” case itself, Zogaj said.

Asked if it is allowed for judges to hold meetings in these cases when we are potentially dealing with conflict of interest situations, when a judge is interested in the other judge in his case, Zogaj has said that in no way is allowed.

In this case, where, according to the prosecution's indictment, Judge Maliqi had reportedly sought by Judge Idriz to reject the request for the confirmation of the villas, which included Malic's.

To that, Zogaj has said there is no confirmation from the judge of the case and that they have not received such concern, saying the prosecutor of the case is responsible for the investigation if anything like that has happened.
