This organisation reported earlier that its executive director, Miodrag Milliq, has been physically and blindly abused “” by members of the Kosovo Special Police Unit.
In a post on the social Facebook network, Svecla wrote that “from different media today I have been notified of the claims of Miodrag Milicevic, Executive Director of the Nongovernmental Organisation “Asset”, that he was mistreated by Kosovo Police members at the Jarinje border. From my frequent visits there and meetings with all police officials, I have been persuaded by the exemplary conduct of police officials, but despite that, I have requested reports by border police officials and investigations of these claims by the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, with whose results our citizens will be announced in record time”.
Referring to the Kosovo Police's announcement, the minister has clarified that Milicevic has today moved to the border checkpoint at Jarinje and no problems, incident, and much less violence.
To confirm this, our police officials have contacted Serbia's border officials, who have announced that the same has not presented any concerns or problems during the border crossing. I want to assure all citizens that all members of the Kosovo Police are in service to all indiscriminately, to provide security. Our institutions respect the rights of all communities living and operating in Kosovo, thus guaranteeing security, well-being and equality for them”, he has turned.
