Kosovo government with new budget planning for 2023 has earmarked 296m euros for health sector
Ilir Tolaj, professor at the Faculty of Medicine, has told Radio Kosovo that in addition to budget growth, setting investment priorities is necessary.
In a situation what the health system is, where needs are many in all sectors, the division of adequate priorities will be very important. The growth is welcome, but not enough and will depend heavily on how this budget” will be exploited, Tolaj said.
Diana Metushi, from the Kosovo Democratic Institute, tells Radio Kosovo that increasing the non-needed budget will reflect on increasing institutional performance if they take on spending the preliminary budget.

I don't think we should just raise the budget. This could endanger this budget from being blocked and would not be exploited or misused further, said Metushi.
While from the Federation of Kosovo Doctors, Mayor Tevide Imer said that more than one billion euros should be invested in health if health levels are targeted along with developed countries.
