Haziri to Periscope: Kurti performs her duties, drafting an Association statute is government duty

The last three days in Kosovo have been quite tense and with many developments. Serbs decided to leave Kosovo institutions until they have protested in northern Mitrovica, where there were also calls for the formation of association. Even the US on Sunday evening went out at once [...]
The country's situation for Periscope has been addressed by LDK deputy chairman Lutfi Haziri.
Asked whether Kosovo's relationship with the United States is jeopardising, Haziri has indicated that to have a co-operation with America, dangerous situations must be avoided.
“We should not talk about endangering relations, but we need to talk about co-operation and partnership when it comes to expression this should avoid dangerous situations, it is already late. I could say it's too late. As for how it will be managed it is in co-ordination with our European and American partners to view the situation and normalisation”, Haziri told Periscope
As far as the formation of the Association is concerned, Haziri said drafting the Association statute is the task of the Kosovo government.
“Drafting the Asociation statute is the duty of the Government of Kosovo, Kurti must do his tasks”, Haziri concluded.
What did America say to Kurt yesterday?
Yesterday the American Embassy in Kosovo has reacted after the situation in the country's north and the Serb resignations from Kosovo institutions.
The United States has asked for them once more Prime Minister Kurti to extend deadline for license, adding yet another requirement, that the start of negotiations on forming association.
“at the same time, we again join the EU to urge Kosovo authorities to respect their obligations without delay. This means the immediate extension of the vehicle re-registering process and the suspension of any punitive action against KM license holders until the issue of license plates is resolved by parties within the dialogue.
This also means the immediate start of negotiations for establishing the Association of Serb-run municipalities. The Kosovo Assembly has ratified the Brussels Agreement and the Constitutional Court of Kosovo has decided that association must be established, which makes its establishment a legal obligation for Kosovo. Kosovo's continued failure to implement this obligation violates the principle of rule of law and damages Kosovo's reputation and credibility”, the US Embassy's statement said among other things.
We remember that today Kurti will hold a media conference at 15 o'clock that I am expected to talk about recent developments in the north. /Iliryana-Periscope
