Haki Abazi willing to resign if Constitution is changed due to association

The MP from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks Hakki Abazi in an interview for Online Economy has spoken on the issue of the Association of Serb majority municipalities, stressing that unfortunately this would be part of the final agreement with Serbia.

He even said he does not believe there will be constitutional change in association, but if that happens he is willing to resign from the MP's position.

I am convinced that the question of association is part of the discussion unfortunately, but the form of how it will be included in the final agreement and full respect of the constitutional court must be the limits that must be passed before”. If it wasn't for the association, we'd probably have to talk about it. It should be discussed as part of the final agreement. I don't think there will be constitutional changes to accommodate executive competencies of association. If such a thing happens I am the one who resigns”.

According to him, it is in the EU's interest that the final agreement is reached especially after the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Both are very difficult questions. He saw how they used visa pressure on the license issue. Pressure instruments are numerous in the hands of the EU and of course these pressures will continue, but I think it is in the interest of the EU that the final agreement is reached especially after the Russia-Ukrainian conflict”, Abazi said.
