Vetevendosje Movement MP Haki Abazi says that with the escalation of the Government's decision to convert Serbian illegal plates, Serbia has been enabled to “buy time” in dialogue with Kosovo.
He says they had to consider the demands of the United States of America, but also the European Union that the decision on license plates be postponed in ten months.
Now this is a cycle in which dialogue is put on without what has been said over and over that we will negotiate with final agreement, with the recognition in the center that we all agree on and have supported. Meanwhile, there's been a deviation as if presented, necessary for license plates and I think here the devil was in the idea of discussing this case without the final deal being concluded to create a situation that makes Sabrin buy time. True, the plates are illegal, which Serbia challenges the idea of Kosovo license plates with those prior to the war, but I think it had to be exhausted until the end of the discussion on the continuation of the deadline for ten months as the US” requested, he said in Tv1.
According to him, the state would not lose anything if it postponed this decision because it would compromise with international partners rather than Serbia.
In fact, Abazi says that if this happened, pressure would be directed towards Serbia so that the latter could impose sanctions on Russia due to aggression in Ukraine.
The “was the first time after that month's postponement that had a ten-month plan that would put Serbia on the wall's back, even on the matter of sanctions because it would allow Serbia to move towards the shadow of sanctions against Russia and the second that Serbia's maneuvering space would be minimal, since all processes had been carried out within this 10-month period”, he added.
